Chris

Hey, my name is Chris and I'm a junior in the Film and Media Studies department. I fancy myself a connoisseur of Westerns and Martial Art films. I'm also fascinated by Shakespeare on screen and adaptations of his work. We hear about how wonderful his work is all the time, but the fact remains that there just aren't many good pure Shakespeare films out there. His adaptations are often wonderful (or really terrible, I'm looking at you O) but when it comes to putting the play on film, most directors falter. With  a little luck (Ok, a lot of luck, cut me a break here), I'll be able to one day change that and bring some of his lesser known works to the screen.

I'll try to keep a log on this page of what I've seen over the semester. This will hopefully give you an idea of my taste in film in addition to the list of my favorites. I'll attempt to keep it up to date, but if I miss a day, please don't kill me.

Favorite Films:

The Lion King, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Proposition, Star Wars, Hero

Seen this semester:

The Wind, The Marriage Circle, Kung Fu Panda 2, Ghosts of Mars, Cat People, Bringing Up Baby, Alien vs Predator, Alien vs Predator Requiem, Outlander, Chronicle, Unleashed, Tucker & Dale vs Evil, The Blob (1988), Romeo Must Die, A Separation, Big Trouble in Little China, Johnnie Guitar, Salt of the Earth,
