Devin Andrada is a Johns Hopkins senior majoring in Film & Media Studies on the Screenwriting Track and Writing Seminars. A filmmaker, screenwriter and part-time poet, Devin has spent the last twelve years of his life creating art. What started as short stories evolved into novels, then expanded into poetry before finally settling into screenwriting. With eight years of screenwriting experience, Devin has amassed a sizable collection of short scripts, teleplays and features, as well as placed top 100 in Screencraft and WeScreenplay's 2018 National Teleplay Contest. Additionally, he has been a member of the Johns Hopkins Writer's Room for two years, as well as a member of John's Hopkins' student-led production company Studio North, where he has been able to gather more experience on other aspects of the filming process. From Assistant Camera to Gaffer to Assistant Director to Script Supervisor, Devin has served many different roles on multiple student-run, Studio North back sets. Most notably, Devin was awarded the a grant from Studio North to direct and premiere his debut short film Cocaine to London in April of 2024. On his free time, Devin listens to music too loudly and pretentiously dusts his vinyl record collection.
